How Julie got involved…..
Nearly 20 years ago having three children involved in gymnastics, Julie was asked to help out in the gym for ‘crowd control’ after 6 years of volunteering, she became the community sports coach for gymnastics within the Borough of Bexley. This role took her into schools introducing gymnastics. Julie was also the London youth games team manager. Each year Julie organised with her team, the Bexley games for 2, 4, 6 piece for both boys and girls. In 2011, when sport UK funding ceased and changes in the club she was working, Julie decided to continue teaching gymnastics within schools and becoming self employed. This has since expanded, and become a company ‘Twisters Community Gymnastics’.

Prior to Gymnastics Julie’s career was financial, HR and book keeping based. Working in various organisations within the Private and Public sectors. Julie has also had experience with volunteer work, within local schools, board of governors,

In 2018 I was appointed to assist the chair of the woman’s artistic technical committee in London, as secretary and treasurer.
